After seeing Life Coach Cheryl Richardson years ago on Oprah, I realized that I could use my ministerial training, my experience in business, and my desire to serve others with a career in coaching. She was so together and made such an impact on the clients featured on the show. I was exposed to a growing trend that fit an inner vision and I had a representative on Oprah! Step by baby step, I plotted my course and found myself at the International Coaching Federation Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. It was close enough to home to be a small financial risk in case it turned out to be a huge waste of time. Luckily, it wasn't.
The first session I attended was "Coming out of the Spiritual Closet as a Life Coach" with Coaching from Spirit founder, Sharon Wilson. I could have left the convention after that session because my dream had been validated. I was given permission to be spiritual, to serve others professionally and personally, and get paid for it! Well, I didn't leave and I proceeded to meet some really nice people who continued to validate my vision. Later our special guest speaker was my Oprah representative, Cheryl Richardson. Divine Evidence!
I went to the marketing sessions, the credentialing sessions, the how to get published and how to "master" the complementary session sessions. I spoke with other coaches who referred me to this training program and that training program. It was overwhelming to say the least! Yet, before the conference was over, I left a message for Sharon Wilson from my hotel room. The idea of Coming out of the Spiritual Closet as a Life Coach consumed me. I signed up for the introductory Living from Spirit class on a date and time that felt right. The class started on 11/11 at 11:00AM. More Evidence!
Since then, I've been on an exhilarating ride! I expected some cookie cutter approach to coaching. And many training organizations will tell you they have one. How to set goals. How to measure success. How to be happy. And the list goes on. Just like Coaching from Spirit, all these training courses have great tools to assist you and your client in the coaching process. But, I'm a Spirit Coach. How do you possibly put parameters and regulations on a Spiritual process? You don't.
Expect the unexpected when you work with a Spirit Coach. Your Spirit Coach is committed to managing her own energy and is willing to be at the mercy of Spiritual Guidance. When two people get together and partner with Spirit, the power is amplified, the experience magnified, and the lessons multiplied! Whether I'm partnering with a client or with my own Spirit Coach, we state our intentions at the beginning of the session and then allow Spirit to guide the process. The Spiritual process is incredibly efficient and it embraces a bigger picture, a picture we may have limited if we had not surrendered to Spirit. Together, we are healed, we are inspired, and we feel empowered.
When you Partner with Spirit, you agree to become the compassionate activist. Start by knowing and accepting your magnificence right now! You're not changing anything about yourself. Instead you're opening up to new options and more choices. You're learning to respond instead of react. You're releasing limitations and inhibitions and you're adding to your brilliance! When you observe your contrasts, things that may seem uncomfortable at the time, ask what wants to be born from them. Every contrast has its gift. Be compassionate with yourself as you grow and evolve with each experience. You create your reality through Inspired Actions. Your ego's job is to look for the Divine Evidence popping up everywhere, showing you that all your efforts are on target! What joyful experiences do you want to create? What is your passion? What fills you up so much that it wants to lovingly spill out into the world?
Anticipate glorious experiences and manifestations! Love life and all its treasures! Respect life's gentle rhythms! Share joy and support others in their glory! Feel the exhilaration of Divine Evidence! Expect the unexpected! When we partner with Spirit, the unexpected is bigger and better than we imagined!
