Hello and Greetings Everyone!
In response to my article last month on "What Psychics are and what we are NOT!" I created this column called the Questions & Answers from a Psychic. This is your column to ask whatever you would like about a Psychic, the Paranormal and/or Metaphysics. There will be a separate topic featured in each issue, sometimes I will be answering it and then sometimes there will be others who are experts in the field. My mission in creating this column is to inform you readers about the on-goings in the psychic world, and NO we are not about 1-900 Numbers!
Question:
Hi, Mary Beth.
I'm writing to you about your psychic article in Community Spirit magazine. It was very interesting! I have a question I wanted to bounce off you, if you have a minute!
I saw a psychic last year who told me I was going to need surgery (at the time, that was something I feared) She followed by saying that if I continued to see her, she could help me so I wouldn't need the surgery. Anytime she said something negative, she followed up by saying, "But if you see me for such and such, we can change that." I initially thought she was saying these things just to get more money, but she operates with a sliding scale, so that can't be it.
I have since released what she told me, and I am doing everything in my power to prevent ever needing this particular surgery.
I was interested in your opinion about this scenario, since you are a professional psychic. If you see "bad news" in someone's future, do you give suggestions for changing this outcome? Isn't the future determined by many different paths, anyway? For example, surgery may have been one path, but there are other options out there, too.

HI!
CAREFUL! Even on a sliding scale.. If a "said" psychic says that he/she can help you medicinally RUN. WE are not DOCTORS! Sure we can see where the energy is weak, but to say that we can "cure, fix, repair" a medical problem is just asking for trouble. Just because she/he is working on a sliding scale... who is to say that that person is not forcing you into "repeat" business!?
Sure I have repeat business BUT my business is based upon the client's desire to return for a reading. I do not suggest a return reading, unless they ask when an appropriate time to return is. Then I suggest wait at least 3-4 months! But that is just me. Some psychics are different. Remember your intuition plays a big role in your decision making as well.

Response:
If I see something bad in a person's future, I have to make a judgment call. This is where I rely on my intuition and decide whether to say it or not. IF I decide to say it, I ask for spiritual assistance so that I can provide as much detail as possible. I also believe "what you know in your NOW you can change your future!" So if I see a bad tooth ache. I would recommend you go to the Dentist. Often I jokingly say... "Prove me wrong.... you will make my day!" in order to lighten things.
The future is your choice. It's like reality, and reality is what you make it. There are many choices one can make about a particular situation. Just because a Psychic said this or that. Your FUTURE is ultimately your decision!
