Greetings!
I want to welcome you to the Higher Self Magazine, formerly known as the Community Spirit Magazine! It's still the same great magazine as before! We changed the name to reflect its parent company, Higher Self, Inc! In the process of growing & expanding we found out that the name Community Spirit Magazine had already been trade-marked to an organization in Oklahoma, so to avoid confusion we opted to change our name to Higher Self Magazine! I feel that this name better reflects what this publication is all about! Higher Self Magazine conveys the message of healing the body, the mind & the spirit, inner journey work and well… getting in touch with our Higher Self... hence the name!
Now on to the subject of this issue! It's been a year already since the Community Spirit/Higher Self Magazine appeared on the news stands! Last June Charlotte experienced a boom in the alternative/holistic healing business with the launch of several exciting businesses. Peaceful Dragon opened up its new headquarters on Steele Creek Road, Phoenix Rising Center opened its doors to the people of Charlotte for classes, workshops & meetings and The Sanctuary Yoga Center provided a safe place for people to enjoy yoga, get a massage and shop in their gift shop! A year later these businesses are still going strong and are being accepted into the mainstream of consciousness here in Charlotte.
This issue's focus is on the Spiritual Communities in the Charlotte area and its expanding awareness as it shows itself in the communities here in town. Join Heather Darnell as she takes a look at the ongoing of the spiritual communities in the Charlotte, metro area! Also, meet Mr. Andrew Goldstein of Good Old Days Café, where Andrew has implemented the Atkins diet on his menu! He makes losing weight taste delicious!! Check out the articles and the columnists in this month's issue of the Higher Self Magazine formerly known as Community Spirit Magazine!
Namaste!
